Arbutus Guest House was originally the Clapham village Vicarage until it was tastefully converted into a guesthouse in 1985. It was built in 1835, and is an excellent example of Georgian architecture.

Clapham is one of the prettiest villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. An oasis of peace and tranquility, and within easy walking distance of the majestic Ingleborough, with cottages set either side of Clapham beck.

The church of St. James stands at the top of the village. Clapham received a market charter from King John in 1201

We are situated in the heart of the village, two minutes' walk to the local Inn and village shops.

The bedrooms are all well proportioned and the comfortable residents lounge with roaring log fire are a "welcome to the eyes", after a day out walking or just exploring the locality. We even have an efficient drying room.

The house benefits from full central heating, and all of the bedrooms have en suite facilities.

A wide variety of breakfasts are available which would satisfy the heartiest of appetites.
